4hr Training Course
This course is about the misuse and abuse of substances such as drugs and alcohol that are used to change a persons state of body or mind. The course focuses on New psychoactive substances (NPS), often known as "Legal highs" how these substances affect our mood and the impacts on our mental health.

Understanding Trauma- An overview of adverse childhood experiences

The purpose of this course is to help those in prison and prison staff  understand what adverse childhood experiences are and how they may affect childrens development. Using statistical evidence, the course highlights the potential impact that ACEs can have in adulthood as well as contributing factors to offending. By raising awareness of ACES in the secure setting Safer Landing hopes those who have suffered early childhood trauma  have a deeper understanding and feel confident to seek professional support.

Certification
Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, Learners will be awarded an Ofqual regulated (RQF)/Award. This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years.

 

Numbers
A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on our courses and all candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age to qualify.
